Gemtek Pest Control - Joel Flake
Joel A. Flake, Jr., pursued his undergraduate studies at both West Virginia University and the University of Utah before completing a Bachelors of Arts in History at Brigham Young University. While in college, Mr. Flake first began working in the pest control industry, working for Pied Piper Exterminators, Inc. in various cities throughout central California.
Following his undergraduate studies, Mr. Flake attended the University of Michigan Law School where he participated as a student-attorney in the University of Michigan Child Advocacy Clinic, and as an associate editor for the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform. Drawing on experience from his two-year LDS mission to Santiago, Chile, Mr. Flake also served as a courtroom interpreter for Spanish-speaking clients participating in the University of Michigan Clinical Law Program. After passing the Idaho bar exam, Mr. Flake served a two-year appointment as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Larry M. Boyle, of the United States District Court of Idaho. Following his clerkship, Mr. Flake worked as an attorney at Moffatt Thomas Barrett Rock & Fields, here in Boise, Idaho.
A fifth generation Idahoan, Mr. Flake resides near Horseshoe Bend, Idaho where he enjoys the great Idaho outdoors with his wife Melanie and their five children: Ammon, Preston, Wesley, Natalie, and Emery.
